Today, Minister Ng announced our government’s partnership with POST Promise, an initiative launched today by Canadian private-sector organizations to help businesses across the country reopen safely. You can find more information about it below and at this website: https://postpromise.com/
- As restrictions are starting to be lifted across the country, it’s still very important that Canadians continue to follow the health and safety guidelines from our public health officials – including business owners.
- We want to ensure business owners have the tools they need to ensure the safety of their employees and customers in their stores, shops, and offices.
- That’s why our government has partnered with the POST Promise program, an private-sector-led campaign calling on business owners to make the “POST promise” – committing to 5 key public health actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19:
-
- maintaining physical distancing;
- washing and sanitizing hands;
- cleaning and disinfecting regularly;
- staying home if unwell; and
- practicing respiratory etiquette (including wearing a mask when recommended).
- By displaying the “POST Promise” logo in their stores and offices, businesses can reassure customers that they’re doing their part to help protect Canadians’ health and safety.
- We will continue to work closely with POST Promise to ensure that their platform has accurate and up-to-date health and safety guidelines for businesses.
